Designed in collaboration with local representatives of Mana whenua Māori, primarily Len Hetet of Te Āti Awa iwi, the local indigenous people of Te Whanganui a Tara, Aotearoa New Zealand. The design seeks to respect and portray local narratives, tell stories, support cultural balance.
This design seeks to respect Te Tiriti o Waitangi the founding document of Aotearoa inspire and represent collaboration across cultures.
Responding to the values and principles of a Bi-Cultural design process, such as kaitiakitanga- sustainability and guardianship, tūhono - connection and mana - authority.
